MAC
Formulated for photographic and the under 30s... generally can sit in lines in real life - no skincare benefits.
ESTEE LAUDER
I know the brand backwards, I used to work for them.
Doublewear...great cover and wear. BUT will make you ghost in photographs, I have seen some ghastly results..if a makeup artist pulls it out at your wedding trial, trust me, run a mile!!!
Futurist. Lovely dewy foundation, genuinely softens lines...great for 35 plus drier skin, but it needs a good light powder to hold...
Individualist. Lovely in photos, a lot like Mac liquid. Tends to cake a bit and separate.
Resilience Lift: Avoid the liquid at all costs. I remember doing a half face test with this once...It was like a mild aging stipple. It was actually funny. I looked 50. You couldn't layer the stuff so was totally useless even for aging.
However...I love resilience lift compact. Its quick, covers well, has radiance...very easy to keep in the purse.
LANCOME
Gorgeous foundations, their long wearing one I often use personally for bridal work. [I need to trial some more, will update you soon.]
NAPOLEON
Clever little marketer Napoleon. Met him a couple of times. I have never IN MY LIFE met such a GAY straight guy. Bronze Luminiser slapped on him by the tub full, the tightest jeans you've ever seen in your life, Gulp. Really didn't know where too look. (how could he have produced children?) But yes, he has a lovely Greek wife and offspring...I digress.
I think he basically started out by sourcing a lot of cheap products from China and plopping his brand on them. Hit and miss. Foundations missed Im sorry. If you need a primer to make a foundation look good...hmmm someone's making a dollar here...Good foundation DOESN'T need a primer!
HOT TIP
While not actually a foundation, Thin Lizzy Concealer is one of the best on the market. Apply after foundation. My colours' called Minx..fancy that!
Ok Ladies that's the first blog. Forward the link to your friends! I will be setting up a free subscriber thingy..so it can go straight into your inbox.
Id love to hear your product experiences too - so email me if you'd like to share.

Is it meh, feh, or hells to the yeah? Find out.
To start, I love love love this mascara. I reviewed the straight Black version a few months back and couldn't rave enough. Great formula, great brush, great lashes, great staying power. So I was anxious to try one of their colored versions. The options were Black Brown, Blue Black and Black Gold. Because I love anything gold (jewelry, shoes, bags) I went for the Black Gold version.

Growing up with a brother who was essentially Brody from Mallrats, I learned a LOT about comic books. More than I wanted to. Too much of my childhood was spent learning the trivia that differentiates Green Lantern from Wolverine and the nuances of Daredevil vs. Spiderman. While I genuinely was on board with a lot of the sci-fi I had to endure (Quantum Leap, Star Trek: The Next Generation) the canons of Marvel and DC didn't thrill me--until now. Why? Because Benefit has partnered with Marvel on a special edition... Read more... |

E-mail the junkie directly: beautybloggingjunkie@gmail.com">Beauty Blogging Junkie 16 May 2012 | 8:41 am ![]() Mally's new Face Defender Foundation with SPF 15 is INCREDIBLE, friends.
It doesn't just hide imperfections. That's glamateur stuff. It Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless MINDS them. With a B.B. cream-like consistency (and protection value with SPF 15), the velvety formula glides on like a damn dream while antiaging ingredients abound. All the while, it mattifies, evens skin tone and diminishes the appearance of fine lines.
Your hyperpigmentation is Clementine.

E-mail the junkie directly: beautybloggingjunkie@gmail.com">Beauty Blogging Junkie 16 May 2012 | 6:19 am ![]() When I first laid eyes on Goody's new Quik Style Paddle Brush I thought that there is the love child of a paddle brush and muppet Sam The Eagle. Minus, you know, his signature stuffiness and pomposity. This brush looks downright whimsical while it IS useful.
Right? The likeness is uncanny.
But this brush is no basic grooming tool. It cuts your drying time, thanks to its thirsty microfiber bristles that absorb 30% of water as you style. I like giving my wet hair a good once-through with it to detangle and eliminate some of the arduous drying process before I even... Read more... |

Vidal Sassoon, head honcho of the haircut, passed away today at 84. He was one of the most respected stylists in the industry and took the beauty world by storm with his architectural hair shapes. I lived for the dusky, shiny locks he tended to in his '80s commercials.
I used to scream to my mother that I needed Vidal Sassoon everything. RIP, Vidal.

It's Dr. Jart's new Most Moist Water-Full Hydrogel Mask and let me tell you, in the select words of Florence Welch, what the water gave me.
I left the mask on about 15 minutes and emerged afterward with skin that was smoother, more elastic and kind of... bouncy! I do think that $9 is a lot for a single-use mask, but as a special occasion pre-cursor, I'd keep it on-hand. It's also perfect post-plane... Read more... |
